- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 pound Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage, breaking it apart until fully cooked (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously. Gradually mix in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined into a creamy sauce (about three minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked fettuccine and browned sausage to the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated in sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
