- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped bell pepper
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- garlic powder
- paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and bell peppers until tender (about 5 minutes).
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned (around 7 minutes).
- Stir in garlic powder, paprika, and beef broth; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix biscuit mix with milk and half of the cheddar cheese until just combined.
- Pour the beef mixture into a greased baking dish and dollop the biscuit batter on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
